Partnership with The Painting and Decorating Association
The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) is the UK’s largest trade and employer’s association in the painting and decorating industry with members across the country. Since 1894, they have been committed to encouraging best practice across the industry.
The PDAs purpose is to promote a range of services offered to the trade by its members to UK commercial markets and consumers. They continually strive to improve the image of this sector and establish and maintain business relationships with paint and coatings manufacturers for the benefit of their members.
Purdy have been a proud partner of the PDA over the past 10 years, continuously supporting the great work they do within the industry and are the PDAs preferred application brand.

Apprentice of the Year competition
For over 10 years Purdy has been a proud sponsor of the Apprentice of the Year awards. These awards test the accuracy and skill from apprentices across the industry in a 6-hour long competition. Competitors are tasked with replicating a given design, testing their ability to perform under pressure. Winners of the 2021 competition were announced at the 2021 Premier Trophy Awards.
