"Almost 20 years ago, I placed a huge order directly with Purdy in America, and ever since then their products have been a permanent part of my kit.
Over the years, I’ve used a wide range of Purdy brushes, roller poles, frames, and sleeves across all kinds of decorating work. One of my favourite products is the smaller extension pole, which is perfect for tight spaces, along with the 6-inch rollers and frames that I was one of the first in our decorating group to start using for kitchens and small bathrooms. They’re ideal for detailed work and still get used regularly today.
I’ve also built up a great collection of Purdy brushes including my Clearcut Guide, which is perfect for gloss work, as it consistently gives an excellent finish when laying off despite it being almost 20 years old! “I started my journey in painting and decorating back in the late 1980s after securing a schoolwork experience placement, which later turned into a summer job and eventually a four-year apprenticeship.
